CPC nurtures its congregation through:

• Vibrant Sunday worship services that are also available on YouTube

Adult Bible study, workshops, and small groups

• Care and support to congregants with the help of our deacons and Pastor

• Ongoing fellowship activities like coffee hour after church and congregational meals

• Rich and varied music programs, including CPC Choir and Ringers

CPC serves its neighbors, locally and globally, by:

• Advocating for social justice and antiracism in principle and in practice

• Running a monthly in-house Choice Pantry with Manna Food Center

• Packing weekend meals for local school children

• Opening its building for use by AA, Al-anon, Scouting America, the Girl Scouts of America, AARP’s tax clinic, and the Happy Life Vietnamese Seniors Group

• Hosting an annual Rise Against Hunger meal-packing event

• Providing 200 school kits for children in the US and overseas through Church World Service

• Donating funds to support several local refugee assistance organizations and to assist homeless students at Paint Branch High School

• Purchasing Christmas gifts for Child Welfare Services families, linens for A Wider Circle, and supporting the programs of Colesville Council of Community Congregations (C-4), such as school supplies, Christmas toys, and clothes closet

OUR VISION

Loving God and our neighbor, we strive to be a beacon of light, joy, hope, inclusiveness, and service in the Colesville community.

OUR MISSION

To boldly carry out Christ’s charge by:

  • Exhibiting innovative hospitality and welcoming all no matter one’s faith journey, place of origin, language, orientation, gender identity, age, or experience in formal church life.

  • Worshiping, praying, studying, working, and celebrating together.

  • Actively working to eliminate root causes of racism, bigotry, hate, discrimination, injustice, and poverty.

OUR DIVERSITY

Not surprisingly, because we are inclusive, our people and leadership are quite diverse and reflect the dynamics of our community setting.  When you walk through the doors you are likely to see someone very much like you.

ABOUT US
