OUR OUTREACH PROGRAMS
Manna Choice Pantry
The church regularly hosts a choice pantry marketplace, allowing participants to shop and choose foods that best suit their family’s preference.
Smart Sacks
During the school year, volunteers assemble “backpacks” of food for students to take home for weekend meals. Each week over 100 bags are delivered to two elementary schools—William Tyler Page, and Flora Singer.
Church World Service School Kits
Each year, supplies are packed into school kits for Church World Service which are then sent to children in need, both overseas and in the US.
Partnership with C- 4 (Colesville Council of Community Congregations), including donating toys for the Christmas Toy Closet and through funding of the school supplies project that provides over 700 backpacks to Montgomery County students.
Women’s Shelter
For many years CPC has been a partner with Interfaith Work’s Women’s Shelter located in Rockville. We provide dinners and other food supplies for a week, and as a special holiday surprise, Knit One, Pray Too donated hand-knitted scarves and hats for the residents.
Water for People
We have continued to support international efforts to bring clean water to areas without access to water. Initial efforts were in the Cameroon, and in the Philippines. Currently we are in partnership with Water for People and support their water projects in Malawi.
