Serenity House
Serenity House is a halfway house for those in recovery from addictions. Last year CPC provided 50+ Christmas Bags to the residents of Serenity House which included a cross and a prayer for strength and hope in their journey towards a substance free life.
Thankfully many of last years Resident's have moved on to Independent Living, some have been re-united with their families and others have re-gained custody of their children who were in foster care.
The residents of Serenity House arrive there with only the clothes on their backs and a desire to change their lives. Serenity House gives them that chance by providing a clean, structured living environment, counseling and opportunities to seek out their faith in a higher power.
The CPC Christmas Bags has been a source of Joy for the residents during the Holiday Season and at the same time has opened a door for them to seek out God and the baby Jesus as a sign of hope, redemption, and an everlasting love.
Shopping list for Serenity House
Personal care items such as shampoo and conditioner, soaps, deodorant, toothpaste and new tooth brushes, body lotion, razors and shaving cream.
gloves ( one size fits all or medium for the women and large for the men)
Christmas Candy and cookies
